ALTERATE ROUTES: DC by the D6

"Alternate Routes" was a project that explored a route that we took often, and had the route displayed electronically and interactively. The main challenge was how to take a path that was so routine and standard in my every day life and weave it into an exciting narrative. I chose the path most common to my life, my trip from home to school. My journey takes me from the Palisades in Georgetown to Foggy Bottom, where my school (Corcoran School of the Arts & Design) lies. There is only one bus line that goes from these two points (the D6), and that's what I have to rely upon every day.
WIREFRAMING

The first step in any project like this is always wireframing. The wireframes set a sort of framework or rudimentary base for your design to be built upon.
VISUAL DESIGNS

This app was created in Pixate, a prototyping platform designed to create apps for smartphones and tablets.
