Life through David's glass negatives
In 2014, I presented my art thesis in illustration. I had examined my grandmother's grandfather David's nearly 100-year-old glass negatives. David Lundgren photographed his family life in Hässelby gård around the early 20th century. He left a vast collection of glass negatives, a fantastic insight into their lives that I wanted to explore with my watercolors.
Early sketch of the Wildlings and the snail.
One of the many cartons containing the glass negatives. With a little bird sketch by David.
