The topic of this research is the implementation of design in function of ideology of the former Yugoslavia state, in everyday life of its inhabitants through different scales, from block to typography. The aim of the analysis is to deepen into the question of Yugoslav design in general and how it flirts with the Yugoslav ideology; because even though their relationship is indisputable, it is not absolute. The main starting point for the research is block 45, which is famous for being used as a filming site over 20 times. This extremely high number shows that block 45 had scenographic qualities in the eyes Yugoslav cinema, but also a background that can be adapted to different needs and stories. The basic methodology is research through film, a medium that includes space and time, and thus is similar to architecture. By perceiving similarities and establishing a parallel between architectural and film discourse in relation to the given situation, emerged a possibility of approaching the case study with a non-architectural mean in order to get a fresh insight into the topic. ambient_program_tipology_morphology_territory:

In the process film shots are treated through architectural drawing, leading to a series of illustrations that record changes in the block at macro and micro levels. Modern architecture is a great polygon for the implementation of different symbols and characters, and it is not surprising that the drawings mainly refer to changes in detail in favor of the capitalist system, while the spatial, socialist framework does not suffer a significant change.
