Could you ever see what the sea has to show as clearly as the beams of the sun highlight it? Would you ever stand the blinding effect that their reflection on water creates in your eyes? Would you stand looking at it? Would it make you freeze or urge you to dive in? If you manage to fight all the excuses that your mind synthesizes to make the identification process difficult, you will find that the sea is everything you accept yet never truly see. It symbolizes death because it resembles the inorganic form that preceded life. It symbolizes life because it flows eternally hosting new creatures that either own it or are barbarically killed in it. It mirrors all your inhibitions, yet it softens right before the sunset just to host your deepest desires at the offset. I have chosen this tumultuous image of the power of the sea to present the side of me that is alive. However there has always been another side; that is, the one that presents this force as a pure, bright drive that is both socially acceptable and capable of growth.
