Of course La La Land had to be given the poster treatment sooner or later. The movie was simply stunning and honestly I'm quite puzzled as to how I did not make a tribute to it any sooner. That's now officially done. The final result is close to what I had in mind in terms of contents - Mia and Sebastian in those positions, Emma Stone's yellow dress and Ryan Gosling's gorgeous white suit, the big full moon and the presence of the street lamp, as iconic and recognizable parts of many posters for the film. What changed in the palette of colours. Originally I had planned for a more abstract concept with a more empty design and a lot of white space. Then I considered the purple tone of the official poster and then finally this background happened. I just have a weakness for rosy sunsets so in the end, that's what I kept. Additionally, the tagline of the movie was extended into the lyrics of the song Audition (Here's To The Fools Who Dream) and I took the opportunity to have the text wrapped around the moon rather than have it classically horizontal.
