I visited Cuba in 2015. Our photography leader had us photograph the local ballerina.

We photographed them on the premises of a dilapidated building which houses a famous restaurant 'La Guarida'.

The restaurant is on the third floor. On the second floor where all these clothes lines are, for the laundry of people living in the building who took over this mansion and converted into a community living quarters. There are huge floor to ceiling french windows looking out onto the street below.

It was a unique assignment for me who got to photograph ballerinas in a setting that can only exist in Cuba.
