This is an illustrated collection of twelve celestial targets (three for each season), covering a wide range of object types, such as nebulae, galaxies, stars, and star clusters. They are perhaps the largest and brightest deep sky objects in their respective seasons; therefore, most are relatively easy to spot under optimal viewing conditions. A few, however, require a bit more practice and better equipment, such as the Horsehead Nebula. Even though, most of these targets are a good start for amateurs just beginning in the hobby and even for children interested in astronomy.
