Every day at 8:00 PM people across Spain go to their windows, balconies, terraces, etc. to cheer and show their appreciation for first responders and health workers.

Pet shop owner and friend of mine:  One of the few businesses that have been allowed to stay open.

My first time leaving the building to walk my dog and seeing my home from the outside.  I'm grateful to live on the top floor with a terrace and have views.
Police presence is felt more than before.  I have a feeling this patrol was called because someone saw me taking photos in the street as I walked my dog.
This image felt like a perfect contrast between the life inside and emptiness seen outside during this time.

Left:  My 12 year old exercising....he is more disciplined than anyone in the family.
Above:  Helicopter from the Guardia Civil (Federal/military police force) surveiling the town.
Neighbors running on the building rooftop
I was able to capture my daughter's shadow as she played with her brother
My son's first day out of the building in 45 days.  Play areas are closed, but at least he is outside and able to ride his bike.
Schools and nurseries have not been allowed to open as of yet.
Gasoline and diesel have come down since the pandemic, although it is still worth about $5.10/gallon for Supreme.
Although in the book you may feel a sense of relief when seeing these images of people walking, in reality most of them are not following the law; groups of 2 at most when walking and the little girl that is out with her parents (image far right) at 10 p.m. should not be out past 7 p.m.
I used infrared photography to capture these images.  I feel that they give the photographs a dream quality, which what this pandemic feels like at times.
