THE CHEMIGRAM
The Chemigrams are a result of combining pictorial techniques such as abstract expressionism with photographic processes, with the particularity that there is no image to develop, the artwork is the result of controlling light exposure and manipulating chemical reactions on photosensitive paper to achieve textures and colors.
I started working with this technique when I felt restricted by the figurative, narrative and metaphoric nature of photography. breaking away from this restriction i found in chemigrams a way to explore abstract languages and raw expression.
