Project Statement

This project takes a critical view of everyday objects showcasing geometric shapes and portraying them in a way that creates an optical illusion that is visually appealing.

The concept of geometric abstraction has been an influence for me on this project and challenged me to see objects from a different perspective. The colors, shapes and lines allow me to feel emotionally connected to this project while also accomplishing my goal of creating a mystery around my photos for the viewers to wonder about.
What's Next....

I plan to continue my volunteer work for the non-profit organization Share Parents of Utah, which includes providing pictures for families who have lost a child/children. In addition to my volunteering, I would like to continue photographing families and their events, such as reunions, birthdays, holidays or lifestyle. Architecture and fine art/personal projects will always have my interest as I move forward in my secondary education in Social Services/child development.
