Blossom in the Bustle - Joined and became one of the finalists of Fashion Designer Award which was held in the biggest fashion event in Surabaya, Surabaya Fashion Parade. The theme was Urban with floral inspirations. The uppermost requirement was the design should be an Avant Garde Ready-To-Wear with floral patterned fabric as the main fabric.
It was titled 'Blossom in the Bustle' due to its concept was inspired by the big cities that are often loaded with hectic people rushing to work and doing other activities. Thus, this look becomes a beauty within the bustle.
The dress' shape looks like a blooming flower and was inspired from a Camelia flower. It was also inspired by how Rei Kawakubo designed Avant Garde clothes for Comme Des Garçons. The dress is a bustier, layered with flower petals-shaped fabric which was made inflated like a puff. Therefore, the dress is a blossom in the bustle, conforming to the theme of the competition.
