When health care policy in America is discussed, the focus immediately shifts to the question of how the bills should be covered and who should cover them, bypassing a bigger, more important question: Why are our bills so high in the first place?
 
In the United States, 20% of the gross domestic product is spent on health care, unthinkable compared with other developed countries. Regretfully financially neglecting preventive health care, including diet, exercise, and utilization of online support groups.
