The idea behind this collection was to create modern art with images inititally illustrated between 1915 and 1965.
Every week a new design was created which would have a different meaning and method of attachment towards it.
Utilizing free resources from the internet and taking my ability to manipulate, I was able to create something aesthetic that felt modern even though most the details used were digital versions of vintage elements.
This art was shared mostly on my Instagram.
"Maula Jutt"
A film initially created in in the Late 1970s, A hit romantic film with the likes of great actors from the Pakistani Film Industry of the 70s.
My vision while creating this design was to showcase a warrior who was under constant stress, retreating to violence just as Maula Jutt.
I wanted to symbolise pain, humanity and decency.
"Dekh Magar Pyaar Say"
Or as they say in English, "Look at someone only if you want to fall in love."
A phrase that has evolved throughout the years but the message has remained the same. A movie over this exact phrase was created in 2015 and it was a fairly decent hit in my country.
I wanted to symbolise the beauty of a human. Beauty doesn't come without flaws and I think the uncanny additions to the picture helped my symbolise the idea.
I wanted to more over add a Vapour Wave-ish feel to the project while maintaining the idea of it being a vintage piece of work.
A few additions here and there really gave me something that I personally loved.

"Coca-Cola"
Perhaps one of the most famous drinks in the world.
Just like any other country, Pakistan went through a phase in which Coca-Cola was a cult favourite. Dinners, Parties, Hanging Out or just watching TV alone, Having a bottle of Coke was considered a necessity.
While doing a bit of my research on Pakistan from the 70s I stumbled across this craze and I really wanted to create something that symbolised that.
Hence, PIA + Coca-Cola.
For reference, PIA is Pakistan International Airlines. Formally a Government Operated Airline, these days a struggling Private Organization.
I decided to use the illustration of a PIA Air Hostess and had her try out a bottle of coke.
There's smile, there's beauty and she's enjoying a bottle of Coca-Cola.
Can it get any better?
"The world runs on Surgical Mask!"
As of January 2021, I can confirm this is absolutely true.
Initially created in early March when the COVID-19 Pandemic was speeding up, I created this design inspired off of the Coca-Cola branding from the early 1950s, I decided to make a clone with a twist of my own.
Perhaps from an alternate reality?
