with singapore’s fast-paced society and pragmatic culture,
people move fast. the outdoor stretch along orchard road
is typically used when people have a specific agenda like
getting to another mall. we often aren’t able to slow down
and take note of the little things.
LED boards are placed with some of the inanimate
objects in our everyday lives. by creating opportunities
to engage with them and giving them voices of their
own, it allows us to pay attention to these things that
we often overlook, and stop and smell the roses.
5 objects around Orchard Road are given a personality and
provided them responses to certain objects associated with
them to spice up a “regular” interaction. QR codes on the
assigned LED displays lead people to the app where they can
interact with the objects.
