The Puzzling Place Rebrand and Mock Advertisment
For my final major project I chose to base my project on optical illusions.
I have rebranded an existing museum called ‘The Puzzling Place’ in Keswick, Cumbria. I have showcased their work in the form of a publication by including featured illusions from the museum explaining how the tricks are done and illustrating them. The logo that I have designed portrays the use of the double p (puzzling place) in the form of a puzzle or maze itself.
I have taken this concept further and made use of the logo by turning this into a Victorian spinning toy called a thaumatrope.
I have created advertisement posters for a mock event held at the puzzling place. I created two posters exploring the idea of the logo being illustrated like a children’s sliding puzzle. It was intended that the viewer would try and piece together the design on them.
