Public space redesign concept for Krasnoturyinsk waterfront

————————————————

This project is a reflection on how can function small public spaces with heavy pedestrian traffic. The project takes into account modern trends in creating an urban environment for the most efficient use of public space.

Concrete bowls on the embankment of the Turia River, built at the end of 2019. have enormous potential to create a socially active place that can become a local center of public attraction for people of all ages. However, despite their potential, the constructed facilities have a number of key mistakes. This is the impossibility of using them for their original purpose - for planting landscaping, due to the lack of drainage and stagnant water in the bowls. This is the presence of an unreasonably large number of walking routes on this square.
