Sky- Oceans drowning in plastic

Sky- Oceans drowning in plastic
This is Sky's campaign for 'Oceans drowning in plastic'. The campaign is showing how the ocean is getting ruined and destroyed by plastic pollution. In the video it shows plastic being made and generated in a factory showing that it is a manmade product. It also shows shots of the sea and keeps switching back to the plastic almost comparing how using plastic is killing the ocean and its sea-life. In the time it took to watch the video a whole rubbish truck full of plastic would of been emptied into the ocean. The video uses graphics and statistics to give accurate facts about the campaign. The video ends with a message ' We need your help to beat ocean plastic, we want you to join our campaign'. By showing this message it is encouraging the viewer to help the campaign.

Facts in the Video:

- Experts think by 2050 the plastics in the ocean will weigh more than all the fish
- The main problem is single use disposable plastic
- In the UK we use 35.8m plastic bottles a day
- Where do plastics end up if they aren't recycled, they aren't going to disappear.
- Almost all the plastic ever made is still on the planet
- Plastic ends up inside us too
