1. Title: Embrace Cyborg.
2. Using html to make a program-like webpage that promote people to transform into cyborg. 3. My webpage is about embracing new technology and accepting the truth that we all will

become half robots half human. People can come to the website, type their name, understand the process of transformations and the data of how many people are within this “cyborg” system. I’m recently doing 3D model sculpting, and I found it’s interesting that we can actually generate a lifelike or serial like creatures from it. And I wonder if human are actually sculpted out from this kind of program but just with a more advanced and complex version. Also, the topic of robots, cyborgs have become a trend nowadays, so I decided to make a html based of cyborgs and human, basically promoting the idea of machine and human transformation/ combination.

4. There are bottoms inserted in the webpage. People can scroll down, and interact while there are bottoms and blank spot to type your name in. Also, the second webpage will activate the webcam of the computer(safari not supported, chrome does), pretend to scan you.

6. The 3D models in the webpage are all sculpted in ZBrush, and the video/animation were made in Photoshop. All the background are digital painted in Photoshop too. I intended to make the glitch effect in the videos as to show a more-digital-like world. The written narrative are me imitating of what kind of story or words robots/cyborgs organizations would promote and encourage people to join them, and become a part of them.

7. My original plan is to use a “third party” to control the webpage. For example, use a specific color to make the webpage move/scroll, through webcam and other tracking programming. However, due to the server and domain issues I couldn’t go further but to show my website that I made for combining to the tracking system. For my html, because I have bottom and live stream, I need to input Javascript. For the copyright image, the one on the second page on the header of “BECOME 1ONE OF US” is from a game called “cyber punk.” But throughout the whole html, the images and video are all made by myself.

Javascript is the one that’s fresh to me, and I’m happy that I can learn a new skill. Also, even t hough I’d tried html before, it’s sometimes confusing about the div and style. But after this final project, I feel more confident of dealing with css and html, and I got a clearer idea; css is to define a style, java is to call a function, and html is like a general body. During the final critique, I really like the comment of “Where’s the transformation part?” In the website, there’s only “do you want to transform,” and the graphics of the transforming process, but there ins’t an actual transformation from human to cyborg that people can interact or really become the one that’s transformed with. I feel like in the future this can be a good direction to develop further from this web, as to become a larger piece. I feel like there are various way to exhibit a html, for instance Internet can already be a high- exposure place to try. Also some exhibition about cyborgs and robots might be a good place to show my work.
