Film (Movie) Piracy !

Film (movie) Piracy!
Campaign Poster

Piracy is an act of criminalization, breaking the law of intellectual property rights. This poster specifically speaks for movies, actors, and directing world. Also for movie lovers like you and me.

The brief is to spread the word about film (movie) piracy that has gone wild. Tons of illegal websites serving  movies from all around the world, gaining free and easy access to binge-watch our favorite tv shows. Folks recording during movies in cinema, taking an advantage out of it. Cases piling up, until it reached enough concerns to put it up as a campaign.

The objective is to gain people's attention not by prohibitions and dislikes, but by embracing the better things about movie industry. Not only as an entertainment, movie serves as a bigger part in our life. The culture, tradition, morale, ambition, adventure; these are the things that drives people sane. So I put some things that people find interesting about movie. Starting from popcorn as a symbol of a movie company, to those cinema tickets we kept from our first date.

By embracing the good things, the goal is to build a positive perspective instead of negative stigma. Creating an enthusiastic environment, fully aware of the cause and effect. There are way too many signs telling us what not to do: No parking, Do not enter, Do not stop, etc. If we put "Don't", "No", "Strictly against", and other form as the main point, we are encouraging people to think alike and creating similar situations.

The poster itself contains a collage of pictures to trigger our state of mind about movie, packed as a movie poster we normally see in cinemas. Yes, there are some signs regarding a disclaimer or warning. It is my own personal interpretation of the movie rating (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17). After all, the rating stays in a movie poster so I might as well took a twist.
xoxo, Fun
