Memory (changing)
The progress-project concentrated on the notion of memory and its various aspects, including such notions as absence and presence, layering, repetition and the alteration which comes with time and overthinking.
The exploration of changes in memory is developed through drawing, printing and sculpture. Sculptural pieces embody tactility manifested in mosaics, the particles which construct the memory.
The image on separate pieces of the mosaic, made in plaster, is ‘white on white’ relief. It brings in intimacy: in order to connect different pieces, you need to see; in order to see, you need to come closer.
THe drawing is a story of constant imperfect repetition in the end leaving us with the image different from the one we had in the beginning.
