The objective of this was to make a pattern using dingbats. One of just the pattern and one with the pattern and texture. For the conceptual process I ended up taking 8 pictures for texture and making about ten patterns. But it was technically more than 8 on the texture because of some of the ways I tried using it for texture. The textures I took pictures of and the one I used is organic.

I did both rectilinear and a curvilinear to see which one would work best and ended up going with rectilinear. The type of rhythm I ended up going with was repeating. I created unity by rotating the dingbats. When I finally got to adding the texture. The affect it had on the composition lead making more than one, one that uses one texture and one that uses more than one texture.

Challenges I had been what size to make the dingbats so the size would not affect the pattern. Another one was trying to get centered and what texture to use.
