I am a fan of operas. I love the passion and all the emotion they can get you through in a few hours. Anyway, I wanted to illustrate my two favourite operas in a minimal but effective way to read the story . I used the Mid century brushes in Procreate, and I think I’m in love with them.

 

On the one with Carmen, I wanted to represent both her lovers, the toreador holding her passionately and the soldier at her feet begging her to come back to him. I think we can see the tragedy of it.
