BANDEIRA
Award-Winning Poster @ "Prêmio Proporção Áurea"
"BANDEIRA" is my take on Golden Ratio and the Brazilian Fauna and Flora — the theme for the poster category at the "Prêmio Proporção Áurea" (Golden Ratio Award) — promoted by the biggest golden ratio design specialist in Brazil, Pedro Panetto. With this design I was awarded the first place in the category.
Represented in this design are the Tamanduá-Bandeira (Giant Anteater) and the brazilian flag, as if the animal was embracing the most recognazible elements from the banner. I was somewhat inspired by Abaporu, the painting from Tarsília do Amaral.
For the composition, I mostly applied the use of golden circles over a complex diagram, as can be seen in the video bellow.
I also tested other printed applications for this design. Just for the fun of it! =)
