Inspired by the awesome game Bloodborne, I set out to paint a scene based on one of their quotes: "Here we stand, feet planted in the earth, but might the cosmos be very near us, only just above our heads?" 

The hardest part to paint was the reflection of the Great One on the pool of blood, illuminated by the moon. With the reds framing the hunter in the middle.

And playing with the idea "what needs to happen to have an area full of blood? Answer: The slaughter of demons!" This got to be the bloodiest piece of art I've painted so far. 

This piece also got a Daily Deviation award in 2018.
