RTÉ Brainstorm is a collection of new ideas, insights and thinking about Ireland and the world. It's a platform for Irish academics to express their ideas and opinions to a wide national and international audience.
The brand has developed over the last few years and required a new identity to reflect on that.
Main purpose of this new identity is to act as a quality control mark, however, it does not come before it's content. I was asked to create a direct, simple, bright and iconic new identity for RTÉ Brainstorm.
I've hoped to reference the logo shapes when creating the wordmark. The body type of the brand is Helvetica, so I've decided to create a wordmark that resembles Helvetica but works better with the logo and has a more geometric approach. Below you can see the solution (Navy) and its comparison with Helvetica (Yellow).
