Recently I teamed up with a wonderful nature photographer Anton Ilinski to design the piano book for my own EP. The release was titled Mood Studies and included four tracks composed for solo grand piano. Some of them were also accompanied by dedicated videos, for example, Extravehicular Activity has initially been a soundtrack for my NASA CineSpace 2019 contest entry, a short film telling the story about astronaut performing his first spacewalk. The 30-page piano book included sheet music for all pieces interleaved with Anton's photographs. As a part of this project I have also designed the logo for my independent publishing company, Black Hole Piano.

Final version of the logo. The idea behind it was to put two piano keys that are the smallest possible diatonic interval apart — a minor second — in front of a supermassive black hole, thus creating the allusion to something big and not exactly nameable lurking behind the theory concepts and habitual instrument shapes (while also referring to the microtonal music).
