U is a cork showering stool that gives back the dignity of this act of hygiene to those who struggle to move and stand up, and need to sit down to relax and have a shower.
With cork presented as a material, it is soft and warm to the touch, designed to be a humanizing stool that preserves the relaxing experience of bathing and become an integral part of the shower.
The design started from the already common orthopedic stool with adjustable legs, evolving towards a cork monoblock, open in the middle to provide coverage to all body parts, and a reverse inclined seat to fit all heights without adjustable legs nor custom manufacturing.
Although being light enough to be carried around, it is meant to become an integral part of the bath, and also one that avoids arising the sense of diminishing health and ageing.
