Selling Sex: The Female Form In Advertising

THE ROLE OF THE FEMALE FORM IN ADVERTISING
RESEARCH & WRITING | RINT DESIGN | 3D SCULPTURE

For my senior thesis at the Corcoran College of Art + Design at The George Washington University, I investigated the use of the female body in advertising. The goal of my thesis project, is to start a conversation about improving and rethinking advertising of products in the United States. The NEXT installation is made up of a publication, a mannequin that could start three thousand conversations about female objectification. The project implored visitors to the Corcoran Gallery to encounter the mannequin and start talking about the objectification of women in advertising and what we can do to change it.
Process: Research, Writing Research Paper, Publication Design of Research paper, Collaged Mannequin with 3000 advertisements objectifying women.
