This book about the life and work of David Carson reimagines the the traditional book structure with layouts inspired by Carson’s unorthodox and deconstructed design style. Copy and images are arranged in a collage style that provide the book with a rough and pieced-together look inspired by Carson. To further develop this notion across spreads in the form of headlines and pull-quotes, I took parts of two contrasting typefaces to create a unique serif/sans serif typeface to reflect the seemingly haphazard nature of Carson's work.
