36°52'09.4"N 75°58'55.7"W - "The Old Cavalier" - Beer magnate Adolph Coors jumped to his death from the sixth floor of this hotel on June 5, 1929. He was 82. Local legend often says it was due to the stock market crash of 1929, but I beg to differ since the crash didn't happen until late October of that year. Yes, locals claim the building is haunted by several spirits. The modern version of this hotel is across the street on the oceanfront. I think I will blog this story soon.
