135th Preakness Identity
These designs were part of the development of the primary identity for the 135th Preakness. Each logo incorporates mandatory elements inherent to the event. The Preakness, held annually on the third Saturday of May at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, is the second leg of thoroughbred horse racing's Triple Crown series, which also includes the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes. The official flower of the race is the black-eyed susan, the state flower of Maryland.
