본 작업은 WorkinPeople의 정규 프로젝트인 THINK IMAGE PROJECT의 사이드 프로젝트입니다. 첫 번째 프로젝트의 마무리 이후 두 번째 주제와 작업물을 준비하고 있었지만 시간이 지나치게 늘어져 버린 탓에 중간에 호흡을 가다듬고자 준비한 사이드 프로젝트입니다. 사실 이름을 밝힐 수 없는 클라이언트의 의뢰에 따른 결과물을 다시 정리한 것이긴하지만, 근본적인 작업의 결이 THINK IMAGE PROJECT와 비슷하기에 사이드 개념으로 이를 묶어 정리하고자 한 것입니다.
작업의 골자는 변박에 대한 그래픽 실험(Graphic Experiment)이며 그 주제는 변박의 진동이 삶에 대한 우리의 감각에 미치는 영향에 대한 것입니다. 이미지의 이야기를 운용하는 모티브는 유기체의 다양한 리듬 그 가운데 무용수들이 펼치는 변박적 움직임에 있습니다. 그러나 단순히 변칙적인 몸짓을 묘사하는 것이 아니라 변박과 정박 사이에 그 움직임이 어떻게 거주할 수 있으며 그로인해 어떤 생기가 발현될 수 있는지를 이미지에 담는데 주력했습니다. 생기의 이미지 키워드는 ‘압축성, 프리즘, 조화’입니다. 변박으로 출렁이는 가운데 수면 위로 드러나는 몸짓의 진실들은 삶 안에 항구적인 조화를 추구하려는 우리 자신을 압축적으로 보여줍니다. 허나 진실의 모든 측면들을 다룬 것이 아니며 오직 변박과의 대결에 따른 순간의 진위를 이야기하고 있기에 이 작업들의 이미지가 언제나 반영적인 것 한에서 사실성을 획득하고 있습니다.
This is a side project of THINK IMAGE PROJECT, a regular project of WorkinPeople. After finishing the first project, I was preparing a second topic and work, but because of the time lag, it is a side project that I prepared to calm the breath in the middle. In fact, I have rearranged the results of client requests that can not be revealed. However, since the fundamental work is similar to THINK IMAGE PROJECT, I wanted to put it together as a side concept.
The main focus of the work is the Graphic Experiment on the irregular time and its theme is the impact of the vibration of the irregular time on our sense of life. The motif of image storytelling is in the subversive movement of dancers among the various rhythms of organisms. However, instead of simply portraying an anomalous gesture, I focused on the image of how the movement can reside between the detachment and anchoring, and what animations can be manifested thereby. The image keyword of animation is ‘abstract, prism, harmony'. The truths of the gestures that are revealed on the surface of the water in the midst of the irregular time show us ourselves to pursue a harmonious harmony in our lives. However, it does not deal with all aspects of the truth, only the reality of the moment in the confrontation with the remnants, so that the image of these works always reflects reality.
