Eklekta Girl is a project that I have been working on dedicated to depictions of alternative women of color. It is a combination of notable women of color, women that I have created from my imagination, and existing women. The Eklekta Girl project celebrates ethnic, non-white North American women who represent members of subcultures and do not fit in societal norms expected of them based on their race and gender.
