New Typographic Tendencies

Design has two functions. First, it has the practical job of communication; and second, it gives objects meaning. In addition, it balances the recognizable and the innovative as society adapts to a changing environment. The future of design is an embodiment of the profoundly human need to structure our environment as a reflection of ourselves. As you view these artifacts, remember that they draw from an original point of place or context and are reassembled into a new, visually configured language. As the title implies, New Typographic Tendencies is an unorthodox and intuitive piece of graphic design about cultural and spacial exchange. the space utilizes the English and Arabic languages as placeholders for abstract representations of two different cultures and places tension between them by exposing the walls of the gallery and putting emphasis on the floor.
