Fictional poster for an exhibition

The first step to perform this work was to choose a designer. Then I had to prepare a poster simulating an exhibition about that designer, without being able to use any kind of original works or photos, it could only be inspired by the author’s works. The purpose of the project was to capture the essence of the designer’s projects. It was an elaborate work on the 2D Lab subject. The designer I chose was Paul Rand, due to his big influence on graphic design and communication, and many other aspects.Through his unusual and different techniques, he was, and still is, able to maintain his influence and highlight on the market to the coming generations. “Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated”, is one remarkable Paul Rand’s quote that I can constantly relate to throughout the projects I have been performing.
I also made a small A6 magazine with all my research.
Personally, this was one of the academic works I enjoyed most to do, since it was one of the first challenges proposed, which was also a project introduced in the first year of the bachelor degree. This project was initially a work I was insecure about, but now when I look back I would not make any changes, or if I did, they would be minor.
