Inspiration:  My Inspiration came from the old Shinto tale, from Japanese mythology about Izanagi, the God of Life and his bride Izanami, who becomes the Goddess of Death after she dies.

My Approach was to imagine this sort of story as a film and to go from there. my original ideation was to include Izanami as the main character since she's the one who dies.  I did some sketch work to start my ideation.

Eventually I moved the work over to Photoshop. I went with the image on the right after realising the story is more of the contrast of the 2 characters, rather what happens to them. I wanted a Stark contrast in what the two worlds of the characters looked like. As Izanagi rules in the Heavens and Izanami reigns in Hell.
This is my final design. I designed a movie poster, and I'm very pleased with my final product. On the right Is my instagram post.
