The Concept
The composition illustrates a scene of the Russian fairytale, "The Firebird and the grey wolf." The fairytale is about how should we keep our honest and responsible in the first position. Below the paragraph explain the personality of the protagonist trying his best to catch the Firebird.
One hour went by, then a second, and a third ... Ivan was sleepy but took his job seriously and managed to stay awake. Suddenly the whole orchard lit up as if a thousand lights were shining on it - the Firebird was making its entrance!
The feeling that I'm trying the achieve is peaceful, vibrant, and attractive to represent the scene of Firebird appearance in front of the character.

Here are some of the digital development that I have done base on my thumbnail idea. I have created the Firebird and grey wolf as my focal point in the first two composites. However, the feedback of these two composites is too busy. Therefore, I start to find another settle image background to start with a new composition.
