This little cardinal was one of my early attempts at digital painting. It was similar to something I had painted by hand the year before and it was fun to test out what I effects I could get with my new tools. I finished this over the holiday season and the sense of peace and quality of stillness in the scene is something I was in need of at the time, and creating this piece gave me exactly that.
