Plaster Sculpture

The paper sculpture is a preliminary for the final plaster sculpture shown in the first image.

This design uses proportion and balance to show the repetitive imagery of the triangles. The carved plaster changed quite a bit from my original design, the smaller triangle ended up quite a bit larger than intended. However, There were about five to six different attempts that failed before I was able to successfully make the final sculpture shown in the first photograph. The form uses negative space which is inside of the triangles.
