Revolution Magazine. Part of a larger project titled 'Dialogue' in which we explored communicating a conversation through typography. I was really happy with this outcome and I learned new skills throughout the process such as Letterpress, Laser cutting, screen printing and development of digital editing skills.
I chose a bright and colourful background pattern behind a plain black cover to really grab the attention of the buyer. The idea being that if the magazine was a weekly/monthly/annual issue then each cover would feature a different colour/pattern/background image. I think this was really effective.
I designed a total of four different covers and experimented with screen printing onto the front of them. However, I felt that this looked too busy and much preferred the plain cover.
