Making this Public Service Announcement campaign was an awesome experience. I really enjoyed the opportunity to design something about a subject that matters to me, and I am happy with the way I was able to communicate important messages through my poster designs.

The first poster has people on each side of the fence colored differently for a reason. This is to communicate that walls segregate by color and race, and by promoting his border wall, our president is upholding these horrible values. I wanted this poster with the message “Walls Segregate” to communicate the fact that Trump’s border wall is racist and promotes segregation. 

The second poster focuses on the isolation that the border wall causes. Specifically, it represents a family that was split up by the wall, and one parent was isolated from the family because of this. Sadly, this is a common occurrence and I wanted to portray this tragedy through one of my posters in the campaign.

Lastly, the final poster in the campaign is meant to make the point that walls have no place in democracy and the free world. Walls represent hate, and are built by dictators. Trump’s wall has no place in America because America isn’t a dictatorship.... Even if President Trump wishes we were.
