The book series offers bibliotherapy to veterans between the ages of 22—35 suffering from one of the many forms of Post–Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The series works alongside therapy to help young veterans overcome the hardships of war and the effects of PTSD. Each book abstractly illustrates a specific struggle faced by young veterans as they assimilate back into society (such as alcohol abuse, substance abuse, health issues, or relationship difficulties) without triggering their PTSD.
