Pangolin, The World's Most Trafficked Mammal

Pangolins (aka scaly ant-eaters) are an order of mammals spread across Africa, South and South-East Asia (including Malaysia). They got their name from the Malay word "Pengguling" which means something that rolls up.
All 8 species of these harmless creatures are the world's most trafficked mammals today; they are being poached to extinction for their meat and their scales, which are used in traditional Chinese medicine, though there's no scientific evidence to prove that they are effective.
