POP ART IN 1950'S

A FUN PERSONAL STYLING PROJECT OF AN ART MOVEMENT WITH A DECADE.

POP ART  emerged in the United Kingdom and the United States during the mid- to late-1950s. The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects.
1950’S FASHION – The full look of the 1950s was mature, glamorous and very put-together. Dresses, skirts and undergarments were constricting. Women were expected to be impeccably dressed and groomed with coordinating hats, shoes, bags, belts, gloves and jewellery.
