Alcoholism Ad Campaign

PSA Advertisement campaign to help bring awareness to alcoholism. Alcoholism effects more people than most think, and is a severely detrimental disease to those who have it, and to who it may effect. In this campaign the purpose is to show how an alcoholic might feel when they drink, almost like they are drowning in something, or they are drowning out whatever else may be going on in their lives with alcohol. The visuals used in this campaign are all geared to target the alcoholics and hopefully give them a visual to identify with so they will seek help, and realize that they have an addiction. The Ads are sleek, clean and simple, with a single visual in each one placed on a black background with a small body of text below it, with a fact about alcoholism. All the facts that were chosen are large statistics, not only showing how many alcoholism effects but also to let the target audience know they are not alone on this journey. As to where they would be placed, in any populated areas as well as outside of bars. The link in the bottom of the ad takes the viewer to the Alcoholics Anonymous website where they can enroll to get the help they need. Also, a video will play upon landing describing the effects alcoholism had on their family. All in all, the purpose of this campaign is to help those in need realize that they have an addiction, and to seek help and get better.
This would be handed out to those who attend their first AA meeting to help give them a better idea on what they have, and what alcoholism actually is.
