Secret Garden - Hermès Window Display

"The eyes are the windows to the soul."

International Proverb
Looking through them we can find what's inside. Imagine we are all parts of nature - aromatic flowers, blooming trees, colorful forests and endless fields. Some are wild as savannas, others - bold as rainforests, or strong as rocky mountains.

This was said hundreds of years ago, when nature was our home. But now we live in a concrete jungle with skyline made of glass and ground made of metal, where the soul is not hidden in the depth of the eyes, but displayed on the surface of the body. And that is how I start to picture the souls around me as "Secret Gardens" made of plastic:

No more colors left inside.
Only fabric-paint remains.
Beautiful, but sterile white.
Gates are closed by silver chains.
Sharp eyes guard the entrance sternly.
No one is allowed to pass through.
Birds are kept to hide intern'lly.
If they fly out, I pursue.

Is it not ironic?! - The one creating window displays, looking through the eyes of others, not from outside-in, but inside-out instead. Not seeing inner souls, but outer shells. What I do is capturing your birds through my windows and making your souls crave to stay in that same cage i called "Secret Garden" that actually I created and locked you in!

What I have been trying to explain is that nowadays we are all consumers, inevitably. We do not look in the eyes any more to discover the soul. We are impressed by appearance and possessions covering the body. And though I know this is my job, I am brave enough to say and write it down.

“The eyes are no longer the windows to the soul.
The eyes are the instrument i use to make you impulsively buy a product.”
