Skales Varsamou, Wine Packaging

About the Wine

The winemaker, descending from Folegandros, spent all his childhood summers on the island. He named the wine "Skales Varsamou" because of his beloved grandfather's garden.

The bottle design

The label design is inspired by the Greek island of Folegandros to fit perfectly
with the Cycladic landscape and colours. Folegandros is a big rock in the middle of the sea with breathtaking views and vertical cliffs. In order to cultivate the land, the locals had to create multi level fields, which they called skales. These fields pictured from above, look like random lines, just like the ones pictured on the wine’s bottle.

Moschofilero - Roditis

Wine with intense shiny colour. Produced from grapes of our family vineyards
in the plain of Elia. It has a balanced character with aromas of citrus fruit, melon and notes of roses and lemon flowers. It displays a refreshing acidity in the mouth with a rare metallic long aftertaste. It pairs well with fish, seafood, white meat, poultry and pasta dishes with light sauces.
Served as an aperitif too, at 10-12°C.
