After the initial conversations with the client this project wanted to reflect a collaborative work space to produce healthier, fresh baked goods for young families in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. The client was very fond of bees as a possible mascot and using earth tones and the color yellow. This led to the use of honey combs as inspirations for the design and the name.
The initial concept was well received but didn't quiet hit the mark so we started exploring other possibilities in bread, then the client provided us with an original block print of the type of bread art they aspire to present of their products. We convinced the client this would convey the handcrafted quality of the products and asked if we could base our design on this. The name was still unsure, and after a few more conversations we arrived at "Nomada" pan/ Nomad Bread, due to the history of the owner and the project itself we both felt it accurately described it. The initial color palette didn't associate well with bread, so we went for lighter tones and it served the design better. Now we are currently working with the other elements of the identity system.
