Mrs. Eaves is a transitional serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996. It is a revival of the typeface Baskerville. Retaining much of Baskerville’s classic charm, the typeface is looser, wider and with
lesser contrast. Mrs. Eaves in history was Baskerville’s housekeeper and later his wife. Drawing inspiration from this fact and the elegance and feminity of the font, the ideation for the artwork has been done. Mrs. Eaves is also used mostly to write headings, for titles and captions. Having been used extensively to title bookcovers, it has aptly been referred to by many as the ‘Queen of the Bookcover’.
