Swan Neck Serving Board

This serving board is yet another idea of my nephew. We didn’t intend it to resemble anything and just followed the curves. Looks like some sophisticated musical instrument to me.
It is made out of black walnut that was cut in Historic Hudson Valley.
Both sides have a few of bow tie inlays and few epoxy injections to fill problematic spots. Polished to 800 grid and waxed with Odie’s oil - it is water resistant and food safe.
Close to 5 feet long and over a foot wide - this board is the largest I have made so far.
The happy owner is pictured. I wish every board I make ends up in such loving and caring hands
